More Internship Questions

Here are a few questions for those about to go on internship:

1) When is the first semester that we are to register for internship credits, and does this depend on the internship start date? It does depend on the internship start date ! If you begin internship anytime during Summer C you should register in the summer; If you don't begin until after the end of Summer C then you should first register in the fall.

2) How many research credits do we register for each semester while we are on internship? Minimum registration for full time status is as follows: Fall 3 credits; Spring 3 credits ; Summer 2 credits. This is typically accomplished through registration for both research (typically at least 1 credit) and internship credits. Note that during the term in which you defend you have to sign up for 3 dissertation credits if the defense is in the Fall or Spring and 2 if the defense is in the Summer. 3) Do we still register for research credits after we have defended? Up to now the answer has been Yes - A petition has been submitted to do away with this requirement; Check the Blog for updates.
